10-year-old Boy Kills BestFriend

<-----12-year-old victim
They were outside their home with 2 other boys playing with fake swords and out of nowhere the 10-year-old who remains anonymous grabbed a kitchen knife and killed his 12-year-old best friend. 10-year-old suspect remains in juvenile hall for the time being. The boy claimed “not true” to the question of if he did kill his best friend. The 10-year-old has been labeled by locals “angry at times” and had really bad rage fits. He was on medication for this and was in a rage when stabbed best friend. How could anyone send a 10-year-old to jail? Prosecutors state the they will try and get. If this CHILD goes to jail now he will get out at 25. With the same rage fits and same mental conditions. They don’t give them much help in a juvenile hall so what would it do to send this CHILD to jail?

Cape Cod Dolphins

75 Dolphins washed up on the shore of Cape Cod and there are at least 40 dead! Experts say this could be because of Cape Cods unusual shape. It could also be because Dolphins are all bestfriends! When one dolphin get stranded they say that others do not swim away for safety they all stick together and don't like to leave them behind. Emergency rescue teams are doing everything they can to save as many dolphins as they can. After fixing up the dolphins they tag them to see if the dolphins survive after being rescued. http://www.cnn.com/video/?hpt=hp_c2#/video/us/2012/01/18/nr-stranded-dolphins.cnn-ifaw

Teens Under the Knife?

Popular, beautiful, and confident. These three words are what girls in high school typically strive to be. But what extremes would you go to achieve this? What if you were already these things and only thirteen? What If silly comments on Facebook pushed you into a pernament life changing superficial procedure to “fix” something forever? Well this is the case for 13-year-old Taylor. She is struck with the decision on whether to get plastic surgery. When we hear the words “plastic surgery” for a 13-year-old or even anyone for that matter we cringe. But why? Do you wear makeup? Do you try and wear clothes that complement you? Nicolet has broken her nose multiple times being in aggressive sports and just being active. Her nose has gotten bigger and gained a lump that her mom says gives her character, until now. Her mother is supporting her if it will make her feel better and stop getting bullied. Nicolet had uploaded profile pictures and got horrific comments from mostly her own friends. They commented on her nose. It started when she was eight when a girl on the bus called her “big nose Taylor”. She didn’t even know the girl and the girl didn’t even know her real name. Dr. Sam Rizk (Nicolet’s doctor) says, “We are judged by the way we look”.  He also says that 25% of the rhinoplasties he performs are made on teens. Making pre-teens, teens, and even adults to love themselves for who they are on the inside and even on the outside is something that we should support. On the contrary, we have the technology to create confidence and acceptance so why shouldn’t we use it? This is a very controversial issue that age plays a big role in. This girl is thirteen, is she capable of making the right choice? And is right for her parent’s to support this?  Nicolet did get the surgery in the end and is happy with the results.

California Mom Murders her Children

11612murdersuicidefresno.jpg
A California mom murdered her two children, their father, and a cousin. In her apartment in Fresno, California is where some of the events leading up to the horrific events were caught on tape by her IPad. She recorded herself and boyfriend’s cousin smoking methamphetamines. The neighbors heard gun shots and reported the frightening sounds. When the police got there the children’s father was outside of the apartment with stab wounds and gunshot wounds. They then heard the final shots. The mom had shot herself after shooting, cousin, Paul Medina, and her two children (17-month-old Aliyah Echeverria and Isaiah Echeverria, 3). They found the shooter in the bathroom with her two children in the bath tub where they were each shot once. The boy died there and the little girl died in the hospital.  There was also a 7-year-old girl in the apartment that escaped alive. Police found 10 grams of meth. They also discovered three firearms in the crime scene, two of them were used. It’s hard to imagine a mother taking her children and killing them but that is the power of drugs.
